THANK YOU TO GLENN BEARD for all he did to re-design and fine tune our new website. If you have not yet seen it, be sure to check it out: www.pennsburgucc.org. He has included pictures of our sanctuary during Advent and Christmas as well as a video link of the children singing during the Christmas program. Thank you Glenn!!!
THANK YOU FROM PASTOR BECCA Thank you to all of you for your kind remembrances at Christmas time, both cards and gifts. How blessed I am to be the pastor of Pennsburg United Church of Christ.
Pastor Becca
A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO OUR MUSIC DIRECTOR AUDREY REINHART AND THE CHOIR for all their extra preparation for the Advent/Christmas season. Music is such an important part of our worship experience.
THANK YOU TO WENDY MENSCH for coordinating the children’s program, “Every Perfect Gift” and to Audrey Reirthart for her work with the children. How wonderful to see the chancel steps filled with children singing their hearts out. And what a special treat to have parents and grandparents helping with the reading parts. If you would like to view a video of the children singing, log onto the church’s website www.pennsburgucc.org and click on Children’s Christmas Video. Thank you to Christine Henry for taking the video and to Glenn Beard for posting it on our website.
REACHING OUT TO OUR COMMUNITY Thank you to everyone who is supporting The Open Line with their gifts. In 2011, as a congregation we provided the following:
• more than 151 bags of groceries for Open Line’s food pantry.
• More than 9 bags of school supplies
• During Advent we filled more than 9 bags with baby items.
Also, once again, the Board of Christian Education adopted a family and provided them with Christmas gifts. They will also provide birthday gifts in the coming year for family members.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.
December Thank You's
The Open Line - On behalf of the board, staff and volunteers of the Open Line, I extend our sincere appreciation for your generous donation of groceries, school supplies and baby items.
To give you some sense of how your contribution help the UPV community, during the 2010-11 fiscal year the Open Line was able to respond to 17,000 requests for information and/or services; we brought Christmas to 201 families (555 children); fed 1,022 people (unduplicated) through our food cupboard; and helped 120 clients through our employment counseling services (resulting in 14 job placements).
We are very fortunate to have so many 'angels' in our community. We certainly could not do our jobs without the kindness and generosity of community residents who help build and strengthen the programs and services that truly make a difference in the lives of our friends and neighbors who are in need.
Thank you for your community spirit and sense of generosity.
Sincerely, Lilibet Coe, Executive Director

from Heifer International - Dear Friends: Thank you so much for your generous gift to Heifer International. Through your gift, a struggling family will receive the gift of livestock and training in its care to overcome hunger and poverty. Your support means better nutrition, health care and education, which will help build a better future.
As spring approaches, families all over the world are looking forward to a new season of hope and promise rather than one of need and desperation. Through Heifer's cornerstone Pass on the Gift, your gift will continue to help more and more families for years to come. Because of you, hundreds of families in villages all over the world will become self-reliant.
Thank you once again for being Heifer International's partner for a better world.
Sincerely, Pierre U. Ferrari, President and CEO

THANK YOU from Open Line – On behalf of the board, staff and volunteers of the Open Line, please accept our sincere appreciation for your contribution of $100.00. Your support, along with the contributions made by 10 other members of the Upper Perk Ministerium, elevated your organization to the level of an MVP sponsor of The Open Line's Brunch and Silent Auction on June 26 at La Massaria on the Bella Vista Golf Club. The event was an overwhelming success as over $28,000 was raised to benefit The Open Line's client service. The Brunch and Silent Auction, along with our other fundraisers, help support the agency's programs and services. To give you some sense of how your contribution helps the UPV community, during the 2009-2010 fiscal year the Open Line was able to respond to 17,499 requests for information and/or services; we brought Christmas to 196 families (528 children); fed 1,020 people (unduplicated) through our food cupboard; and helped 134 clients through our employment counseling services (resulting in 24 job placements). We are very fortunate to have so many ‘angels’ in our community. We certainly could not do our job without the kindness and generosity of community residents who help build and strengthen the programs and services that truly make a difference in the lives of our friends and neighbors who are in need. We extend our thanks for the wonderful community in which we live and we wish you and your families much happiness. Sincerely, The Open Line Brunch and Silent Auction Committee
